The Niles Public Library, in partnership with the Library of Congress, has established a local Veterans History Project Collection to recognize and record the contributions of our nation’s veterans. At present, 51 oral histories with recordings are available in the 2nd level Reference Services Department.  These primary documents provide individual accounts of service memoirs during World War II, the Korean War and aftermath, and the Vietnam War. Provided below are Adobe Portable Document Format files of the transcripts and Streaming Audio files of the interviews, in some instances additional print and media may only be available at the library. Visit the Library of Congress Veterans History Project web site for more veterans histories.
